There are many ways to be involved in the parish. Please visit our Committees and Organizations pages for additional groups that may interest you.
Young people who have received their First Communion and desire to participate in an intimate way during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass are invited to train as Altar Servers. Through Baptism, we are called to share our skills and talent for the good of the community. For many young people this Ministry provides a regular reminder of the trust our Heavenly Father has in each of us. For further information, please contact: Father Lovric at the Parish Office or Carl Prezioso at [email protected]
Recognizing the importance of the proclamation of the Word of God in the liturgy and the genuine need for persons to perform this liturgical action, the General Instruction on the Roman Missal (GIRM) provides for others to serve in the role of lector:
In the absence of an instituted lector, other lay people may be deputed to proclaim the readings from sacred scripture, people who are truly suited to carrying out this function and carefully prepared, so that by their hearing the readings from the sacred texts the faithful may conceive in their hearts a sweet and living affection for sacred scripture (GIRM, 101).
Those wishing to join this ministry should call the rectory.
Music is an integral part of our worship service. It easily helps us to raise our hearts and minds to God. During times of sorrow, it is a great consolation to us. So many of us have musical talents that can serve to enrich our lives and the lives of those in our community. The only requirement is a desire to enrich our worship service and give praise to God through music. Contact the Parish Office for more information.
